What’s the Difference between the Genuine Article & the What-A-Teas ?

Source: Fortune Magazine

“I’m fearful when others are bold and bold when others are fearful.”

-Warren Buffet (his personal motto)

With recent events this begs the question, in as Buffet is so rich he has personally nothing to fear for himself, than who is he fearful for? If you answer this correctly than you will have come to understand what distinguishes those like him from the want-a teas.

Hi Phil,

Thanks....I'll have a look when I can. Does the Genuine Article speak for their country or himself?

I think you will get the jest when you are done reading my comment.

Buffett, one of the world's richest men and chairman of conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway Inc , said his federal tax bill last year was $6,938,744.

"That sounds like a lot of money. But what I paid was only 17.4% of my taxable income - and that's actually a lower percentage than was paid by any of the other 20 people in our office. Their tax burdens ranged from 33% to 41% and averaged 36%," he said.

The Tea Party as far as I can tell is trying to be revolutionary in it's design, while defending them self on the subject of taxes?

What kind of revolution should we call this in Canada?

Hi Phil,

In defense of the logic and thought about taxing the rich, a classification much like and thinking of while using the term "the tea party"....was to denote this upper classification of people with money as Job Creators."

Such statistics would be needed so as to show growth in that context but I am sure that such classification would have to be detailed indeed to see what I mean.

For me, I needed to keep my eye on the ball and what this means is that regardless of what Warren represents, their is something much greater at work that needs attention and Warren just happens to be bringing it front and center.

After this, Warren is no longer part of the picture, but more a leader by example of what must be done to save their country from people of the like, as those represented in the tea party.

Those who would manipulate political will, by such denotations as Job Creators to cover the Rich.

So for me it is about a nation, and nation building. Not just the United States, but our own country as well. I believe we are suffering under the same illusions as well.

So for me it is about democracy and nation building, and those who would circumvent that democracy to serve their own ends.

Is this not a honorable thing to do, is to find our way amidst those things that would lead our own country down wrong paths as too, such representations which are also occurring in the United States?

Plato,

I meant as he having nothing to fear in respect to the raising of taxes on the rich. That’s because he knows that if they don’t then all the consumers will suffer to a point where the expansion of the rich will no longer be possible. That’s to say Buffet has long been committed to increasing the numbers of wealthy as opposed to having wealth concentrated and consequently their numbers diminished.

This has the definition of limit the opposite for him as opposed to the tea partiers. With Buffet the limit on the numbers of wealthy is everyone, while the limit for the tea partiers is one; perhaps even none. This has the difference between those like Buffet and the Tea Partiers being one of vision and logic. So the question his countryman must ask themselves is which represents being the better of the two?
